My name is Maddalena Italia. I am a PhD graduate from SOAS (University of London) currently working as Associate Lecturer at UCL (Department of Greek & Latin) and Senior Teaching Fellow at SOAS (School of Languages, Cultures, and Linguistics). My primary area of expertise is Sanskrit language and literature, but I also teach Classical Greek and Latin language courses.
Until March 2024 I was a Research Fellow at UCL, where I worked on the Leverhulme-funded project Comparative Classics: Greece, Rome, India.
I have been teaching Sanskrit, Classical Greek, and Latin for many years. I’ve done this both in formal settings (UCL, SOAS University of London, City Lit Institute, and The British Museum) and as a private tutor.
