My name is Maddalena Italia. I am a PhD graduate from SOAS (University of London) currently working as Associate Lecturer at UCL (Department of Greek & Latin) and Senior Teaching Fellow at SOAS (School of Languages, Cultures, and Linguistics). My primary area of expertise is Sanskrit language and literature, but I also teach Classical Greek and Latin language courses.
Until March 2024 I was a Research Fellow at UCL, where I worked on the Leverhulme-funded project Comparative Classics: Greece, Rome, India.
I have been teaching Sanskrit, Classical Greek, and Latin for many years. I’ve done this both in formal settings (SOAS University of London, City Literary Institute, and British Museum) and as a private tutor.
